Presentation

As part of the 2nd edition of the "'Uriage Trail Belledonne" in 2024, the course for the most seasoned runners climbs all the way to Chamrousse!
A 40 km route with an impressive 2250 m vertical drop, promising a real adrenalin rush.
L'enfer des Alpes: 40km 2250D+ (Alpine hell)
This is THE route for initiates, and it's going to sting your thighs: Uriage park - Seiglières - Casserousse - Pourettes - Robert lakes - Croix de Chamrousse - Grenouillère lake at Recoin - Uriage.

The start is similar to the Seiglières trail, with a crossing of the ridges from Uriage to begin with, before climbing towards Chamrousse via St Martin d'Uriage and Seiglières. From Chamrousse 1400 - Casserousse, head for the wild Pourettes valley and its small lake to reach the magnificent Robert altitude lakes. From here, the climb continues over the Col de la Botte via the GR738 before reaching the Chamrousse Himalayan footbridge and finally the Croix de Chamrousse (2250m), where a well-deserved refreshment awaits you! Then it's time to tackle the long descent to Uriage via Lac de la Grenouillère. 3 refreshment points along the way.
