In between October and November, while summer is gone and winter is not already here… enjoy your indian summer, this autumn warm spells, after first frosts and just before snow!

1) Mushroom picking
Or in a contemplative way with pictures of these surprising colored plants!Take your basket with you, leave and go picking mushrooms, we do not know where to find some and in which quantity!
Learn to recognize eatable mushrooms which the best known are called ceps, hedgehogs, black trumpet or chanterelles... In case of any doubt, bring you mushrooms to the chemist to get his opinion.

2) Get a hike to admire our flamboyant nature and its lakes
Or in a dynamic way with nordic walking!
Come and contemplate Chamrousse, which significate "red field" in autumnal version or sprinkling of snow in winter version as an icing sugar cake.Floors and trees have their most beautiful colors yellow, orange, red... and its highlights with orange leaves in our maintain lakes.

3) Hiking to observe fauna and flora
Or in a sportive way, like running!Slowly on paths, you will find plants, beautiful leaves and animals.
You could bring back fallen leaves on the ground to make them dry and create your own autumn herbarium. You can also bring your googles to observe birds or even a wild animal at the edge on the woods. Learn to recognize animal footprints that surrounds you and pay attention to bird's songs.

4) Biking and electric biking (called "VAE")
Or in a more active way as in enduro mountain biking or in downhill mountain biking on our forest tracks!Mountain biking is a real treat to get thrills and everyone can practise at their own pace to (re)discover this activity while having a convivial and sportive moment. Do not forget to have a look in front of you but also to turn your eyes right and left to enjoy the landscapes around you. And do not forget you jacket going down the hills.
>> Two roads to access to Chamrousse: from Uriage the local road 111 (D111), or by the Luitel with its well-known uphill "Montée de Chamrousse" (where the Tour de France has been though) or by the Seiglières and its country house.
5) Bivouac at the Belledonne's snowy peaks
Or in a more innovative way with the portaledge!Enjoying the sunset lights, you could watch mountains changing colors all the evening. Nights are cold but our sleeping bags are made for low temperatures and even have a mattress insulating from the cold to keep you warm and comfortable.
In the morning, with an amazing sunrise or with a veiled sun, your bivouac will stay for ever in your memory.
Wild camping or bivouac is allow, or not, in certain places as around mountain refuges or around lakes. Before to plant your tent, do not forget to check if it is possible or not, if the place is safe or not and that you are not on a grazing area.

And of course winter upcoming you could make your own footprints walking, hiking or even sledging!
