A fun activity par excellence!
What is canyoning? Canyoning is the process of descending a river on foot. Come and discover the spectacular beauty of the narrow canyons carved by the water, the wide basins, the river beds and the play of light in the waterfalls. On your trip you can slide down slides, jump into pools, abseil down waterfalls and for the brave, swim in siphons.
• Furon de Sassenage: the discovery canyon par excellence. This complete canyon offers jumps, abseils, slides and even a Tyrolean traverse.
This very beautiful canyon will quickly put you in the mood with a jump of 11 meters in a magnificent deep basin for the bravest. Of course, this jump is not compulsory, it is possible to use the rope to jump 5 meters or even to abseil directly into the water. This canyon is perfect for a trip with friends, family or even colleagues. This canyon is a guarantee of laughter, thrills and unforgettable memories.
• Moules Marinières, near Gresse-en-Vercors city:
Slides galore. Up to 11 metres of sliding upright, upside down and in curves.
This beautiful canyon will offer you a multitude of slides, jumps and abseils. This canyon is in a magnificent setting, with beautiful slides, gorges carved by the Berriève stream, a waterfall worthy of a soap ad, the ruins of an old mill and lush vegetation surrounding the course. However, there is no seafood of the same name, as mussels only live in acidic waters.
• Ecouges on the other side of the Vercors mountain:
A spectacular and majestic canyon. This magnificent canyon will transport you into the fairy world of water, sun and dancing reflections. This canyon is composed of two parts, the high part and the low part.
The upper part is serious and challenging, with dark abseils. It is one of the most beautiful and spectacular in France. This canyon includes numerous abseils, along a deep gorge with magnificent plays of light. The further down you go, the more the canyon opens up, ending with a 65 metre abseil along a waterfall. The lower part is made up of small abseils and a multitude of jumps and slides. This very aesthetic canyon includes a succession of beautiful small basins accessible by small jumps and slides. One of the highlights of this canyon is a jump worthy of the best action films, a jump through a waterfall.
Equipment to bring: swimming costume, towel, shoes that can get wet in the canyon (trainers or walking shoes, no flip-flops) and a change of clothes.
The technical equipment is provided by the instructor (neoprene wetsuit, harness, helmet, ropes, carabiners, descender...)
Of course, to practice canyoning you must be able to swim and immerse yourself without any problem. Car required.
