For many years, Milena Jeliazkova and Malik Adda have been creating music, one with her voice, the other with her instruments, in various musical formations. They met around the folk songs of various cultures, with the dual aim of paying homage to them while respecting the codes specific to each style, and evolving the tradition towards a creation that takes into account their own sensitivities, origins and personal tastes:
- Milena Jeliazkova: voice, Jew's harp, percussion
- Malik Adda: zarb, tars, percussion
Sung and played melodies interweave and serve each other, taking the listener on a sensitive, colorful and exciting journey of sound. Alternately joyful or melancholy, song follows song, voice and percussion combine to create a sonic alchemy honoring the musical traditions of countries from Andalusia to the Balkans, across the Mediterranean Sea, the Aegean archipelagos to the shores of the Black Sea. Juxtaposing arrangements, improvisations or creations in a given popular style, the two musicians will let you discover the richness of their encounter, like the peoples who have rubbed shoulders and still do today on the shores of the Mediterranean and Black Seas.
Don't miss this exceptional evening of music, sharing and culture!
