- Prize: bronze medalist during the Olympic Games in Albertville (France) in 1992 and in Nagano (Japan) in 1998.
- Fun fact: her future was perhaps already well defined because she was born during the winter Olympic Games in Grenoble
Originally from Vizille (a city close to Chamrousse), Florence Masnada joined the sports club of Chamrousse at 8 years old.
So far, she is the only French skier to have won the combined World Cup, a downhill and slalom event in 1991.
She then won two bronze medals at the Olympic Games in the downhill and combined events.
She enjoys her sports retreat to put her experience to the service of television and radio by commenting on ski events.
The ski resort honors her by giving her name to its slalom stadium dedicated to the training of the ski school in Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin.
