Slacklining is a sport similar to tightrope walking, which originated in California (USA) in the 1980s, and is said to have been invented by climbers.
Thanks to the evolution of equipment and the ingenuity of new practitioners, new sub-disciplines have emerged, such as highline (at height, secured by a harness), longline (walking the longest possible length) and jumpline or trickline (freestyle).
All these developments have democratized the activity, whether for families, friends (15 to 35 meters) or experts (50m+ longline), there's something for everyone.
