Presentation

The ''Lekkarod'' is a long distance dog sledding race by stages whose objectives correspond to a real philosophy for the sport of dog sledding.

In the sumptuous scenery of the Alps, mushers from all over Europe meet for a competition placed under the sign of respect. Respect for men, dogs and nature.
2 types of events: sledding and ski-joëring (or harnessed skiing, a sport discipline combining skiing and an animal team, is practiced here pulled by a sled dog).

If the show that sled dogs provide us is both wonderful and filled with the deepest respect for the animal, it is incumbent upon everyone to understand and apply a few rules of behavior in order not to harm these athletes that are the dogs.
