Presentation
The Lekkarod is a long-distance stage race for sled dogs whose objectives are in line with a genuine philosophy for the sport of dog sledding.
In the sumptuous setting of the Alps, mushers from all over Europe come together for a competition based on respect. Respect for people, dogs and nature.
2 types of event: sledding and ski-joëring (or ski attelé, a sport discipline combining skiing and an animal team, in this case pulled by a sled dog).
See you at Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin on the snow front for the entertainment, at Le Vernon for the race starts, and above all at the finish on the Plateau de l'Arselle at Chamrousse 1600 - Nordic area!

While the spectacle provided by sled dogs is both marvellous and filled with the deepest respect for the animal, it's up to everyone to understand and apply a few rules of behaviour to avoid harming these athletes.
