Presentation

Scientific eco-volunteering weekend departing from Chamrousse. At Lacs Robert (2,225 m), sample the water and analyze the DNA of the species living there using a portable field laboratory. In partnership with Argaly.
For 3 days, join a participatory scientific expedition in the Belledonne massif, at Lacs Robert (2,225 m altitude), led by scientific mediators and Argaly experts, specialists in environmental DNA.
The aim: to use molecular biology techniques to inventory the aquatic biodiversity of an alpine lake, based on simple water sampling.
On the program:

Introduction to environmental DNA (eDNA) and its applications in ecology
Water sampling according to rigorous scientific protocols
Filtration and sample preparation in the field
PCR analysis (portable MiniPCR) and interpretation of results
Meeting with an environmental warden and discussions on life science professions

The stay is all-inclusive (tent accommodation, meals, supervision, scientific equipment). No knowledge of biology required.
