Free flight take-off area at the top of the Croix de Chamrousse (2253m).

The Chamrousse site is managed by Air Ailes Chamrousse Vol Libre. For professional supervision, contact the Corole paragliding school.
The Croix de Chamrousse take-off area gets 2 orientations North and West. It is a mountain take-off which has 2 orientations North and West. The site is located at the top of the Chamrousse ski resort at an altitude of 2250 m

- Ideal conditions :
○ 0 to 10 km/h (beginner pilots) and 10 to 25 km/h (expert pilots). Dangers in strong winds.
Favourable winds: N;SE;S;SW;W;NW
- Flying season: April to October from 7:30 in the morning until late in the evening (21:00)
- Flight periods: spring summer winter
- Landings : Uriage
○ Rest at the top possible
○ Landing available at 3.5 glide ratio
○ Grand Champ station under the needle take-off - West to North - 1650 m
○ La Richardière - St Martin d'Uriage - West - 550 m (horses, site to visit before flight)
- Progressive slope

Access by gondola possible in winter and summer, depending on opening days and hours.

    The take-off zone is north of the arrival point of the Chamrousse Croix lifts.
    Access on foot from the resort: from the Chamrousse 1750 - Roche Béranger parking lot, follow the signposted paths to La Croix (460m ascent).
    Gondola access from the resort: meet at Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin, available in winter and summer seasons (lift pass compulsory).

    Bus access from the valley: stop Chamrousse 1750 - Roche Béranger + hike / stop Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin + hike in summer (or gondola access for a fee in winter and summer):
    • year-round shuttle (weekdays only and excluding public holidays) with TouGo transport à la demande (TAD) - line G701 to/from Uriage (near Richardière landing zone): small paragliding bag equivalent to large hiking bag ok in shuttle trunk - no luggage hold
    • T87 regional bus line (to/from Grenoble): paragliding bag in hold
    • seasonal bus lines :
    - winter] Transaltitude (to/from Grenoble) and Skibus 707 (to/from Uriage): paragliding bag in hold

    By car: from Uriage, take the road towards the Chamrousse resort (RD 280 then right onto RD111), as far as Chamrousse 1750 - Roche Béranger.
