In the Shadow of the Birds | Compagnie Kadavresky
A poetic circus duo for all ages.
A passerby stumbles upon a guinguette table under a pergola. In the Shadow of the Birds, nothing is missing to make it an idyllic spot. Except perhaps a glass of water. But as in all stories of paradise, there is an “Other.” Nothing serious, but everything we thought was ours to keep must now be shared. And there, with no shadow to hide behind, everything is laid bare—from physical differences to personality traits. Do you think a single umbrella would be enough? Plant one in paradise, and everything starts swaying up to 7 meters high. Reality capsizes, and the two men on board cling to each other just to stay upright.
For All Ages
3:45–4:30 pm
Au sec’ours | La Dent Drôle Cie
Ursy is a sensitive, eco-conscious artist. He learns that polar bears will soon have no home left. That’s a big deal! Deeply moved, he takes the stage to deliver a musical, interactive, and socially conscious performance. Using a “looper,” he blends beatboxing, rap, dance, and humor into a show that’s naive, absurd, and touching. An eco-naive clown rap show.
For all ages
5:15–6:00 pm
Wonderland | Cie El Goma
Wonderland is an invitation to a fantastical scenario where a character (perhaps stuck) discovers uncharted territories with the help and participation of the audience. Based on the simple burlesque games of the last century and a naive reinterpretation of contemporary comedy, the series draws on influences ranging from pop art to magical realism, poetry, absurdity, and minimalism. The character must escape from an uncomfortable costume, face the unknown, or perhaps flee from a menacing shark, all while dodging objects or pretending to dance to a mysterious rhythm.
Suitable for all ages
6:00–6:45 pm
Peaky Bikers | Father & Son BMX ACT
A BMX champion in the early ’90s, Nicolas Charbonneaux—aka Johnny Alone—has traveled the world with his bicycle acrobatics shows for nearly 25 years. His passion for acrobatic BMX is now a family affair: in 2021, he and his son Eliot created the Peaky Bikers, a show blending comedy and acrobatics inspired by Steven Knight’s hit British series “Peaky Blinders.” On the program: a show set against the backdrop of the 1920s and family anecdotes, spiced up with aerial stunts and spectacular ground acrobatics.
Suitable for all ages
We look forward to seeing you in Chamrousse for a moment of discovery and family fun.
