GEM x Chamrousse Markethon challenge

For the third consecutive year, Chamrousse Tourist Office is collaborating with Grenoble Ecole Management (GEM), Grenoble management school, with the Makethon challenge.
The first year students will focus on several topics specific to Chamrousse mountain resort as part of their Marketing Mix course:

  • Products and "Flocon Vert" environment label: Chamrousse is a resort labelled Green Snowflake by the Mountain Riders association since 2017. The Tourist Office shop would like to offer sustainable development products.
  • Skibrid: it is possible to snooc with the Luge Park pass of the Chamrousse ski lifts. It is an interesting product for non-skiers to practice an activity in the ski area. And the skibrid?
  • Coworking holiday offer: with the development of new ways of working and the context of covid, the question of teleworking in the mountains arises. An offer that could be a complement during off-peak periods?
  • Proposal for a bivouac service: Chamrousse has had to ban bivouacs at Achard lake during summer due to over-frequentation and barbecues, which is prohibited in this area classified as an sensitive natural area. Is it possible to offer a bivouac service in order to manage the flows? What can be offered?
  • Monetise the ski touring or trail running: these two sports have been developing for several years. It is possible to combine them with lift passes for quicker access to the top of the area. Are there other possible services to monetise these activities?
  • ... sustainable development, diversification of the offer, summer development... high-stake themes that we want to reinvest in the resort's projects.

It is a pleasure to have students work on concrete subjects related to the local economic fabric and our territories. Young people are always a source of inspiration.
