Chamrousse's new Himalayan footbridge, a must for all thrill-seekers!
A suspension bridge over the Casserousse couloir, accessible from the top of the resort at La Croix (subject to weather conditions).
⚠ SHOES + CRAMPONS OR SNOWBOARDS ADVISED !
In winter: one of the Panoramic Park's star trails at the summit of the Chamrousse Cross resort.
Access: gondola > picnic area > Himalayan footbridge > picnic area (and access to other facilities: Oisans belvedere, rooftop...)

Casserousse Himalayan footbridge in figures: 130 m long, 0.9 m wide and 25 m high, with a maximum gradient of 9.5%.

Easy access to the summit via the Croix gondola (fee payable): every day in winter (mid-December to mid-April) with a ski pass or pedestrian pass (subject to weather conditions).
Opening periodFrom 15/06 to 29/09, daily.
Departure from the footbridge below the Croix de Chamrousse (on the Robert Lakes side).
Easy access via the Croix gondola in summer: every day in July and August + the last 2 weekends in June and weekends in September, weather permitting (confirmation on Thursday for the weekend).

From 21/12 to 06/04, daily.
Winter opening (subject to weather and snow conditions): easy access via the Croix gondola!
Start from the footbridge below the Croix de Chamrousse (on the Robert lakes side) 300m after the picnic area on the left.
⚠ Shoes with CRAMPONS (OR SNOW SHOES) STRONGLY ADVISED on the access path from the Croix de Chamrousse to the footbridge.

Subject to favorable weather.
Additional welcome⚠ Winter: snow-covered access with approach walk, no city sneakers but rather mountain boots/snow boots with CRAMPONS (or SNOWSHOES) strongly recommended!

    Free of charge. Access to the top of the resort is via the La Croix cable car at Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin: in summer, a pedestrian pass (one-way or round-trip); in winter, a ski pass or a pedestrian pass.

    From Grenoble: car or bus + cable car ascent or hike to La Croix summit + approach walk

    Resort road access: Rocade Sud > exit no. 2 "Uriage" > Route départementale 111 (RD 111) Seiglières side.
    Recommended parking: parking Henry Duhamel (P7), avenue Henry Duhamel (200 meters and about 2 minutes' walk - pay attention in winter).

    Public transport :
    Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin stop:
    - regular bus service all year round: N93 (to/from Grenoble), "Chamrousse 1650" stop (merger of former T87, Transaltitude, Destination neige Skibus / nature Estibus 707).
    Good to know - another stop less than 500m away (Place de Belledonne, near the Tourist Office):
    - transportation by reservation on weekdays, except public holidays: Flexo 57 (to/from Uriage), "Chamrousse - Le Recoin" stop (former TAD TouGo - line G701)
    - resort shuttle: "Télécabine (1650)" stop (to/from Chamrousse 1750 - Roche Béranger and Chamrousse 1600 - plateau de l'Arselle/nordic area).
