Presentation
Producers and artisans from mother to daughter, we offer our products prepared in Chamrousse from flowers and plants, as well as workshops to discover environmentally-friendly know-how.
Culinary, cosmetic and household products based on wild-gathered mountain flowers and plants (aromatic salts, pestos, delights, flower confits, buds, flavored oils and syrups, as well as detergents, balms...) by Cécile and Ketty Masson.
Many years ago in Chamrousse, Cécile Masson began developing recipes based on the wild plants of our mountains, as part of her drive for self-sufficiency in the face of large-scale consumerism (which distorts the taste of food).
Passionate about reading the history of the Dauphiné region and the traditional eating habits of the Middle Ages, she drew inspiration from the recipes of the time and adapted them.
The success of our recipes with our table d'hôte clientele led to the creation of our line of authentic products.
From that moment on, La Prairie dans l'Assiette was born.
Today, the transmission of know-how is at the heart of our daily work, as we have decided to perpetuate and sublimate this profession, a story handed down from mother to daughter.
Our wild plant raw materials are carefully hand-picked.
All the other materials used in our products are bio-sourced, eco-responsible and sourced locally.
A range of ivy-based cleaning products - Fée Tout au Lierre - is also available.
Our products are on sale on site at l'Étape du Fanfoué - Chambres d'hôtes or in a few shops in Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin and 1750 - Roche Béranger.
Order directly by Messenger!
Activities are also on offer where you can discover how to make your own products, tailor-made, organic, respectful of you and our environment!!! :
- Culinary workshops,
- Making cosmetics
- Manufacture of ivy-based cleaning products
- Manufacture of beeswax-coated fabrics
During these workshops, you'll discover how simple, quick and personalized it is to make these products.
You'll leave with your own products, your own recipes and, above all, with know-how that you've acquired over a lifetime and that can be passed on ad infinitum!
Member of Chamrousse's LACIM association (Les Artisans Créateurs Investis en Montagne).
