Chamrousse resort is part of the Grésivaudan region and its community of municipalities, along with other mountain resorts on the Belledonne side ("7 Laux", "Collet" and "Barioz") and the Chartreuse side ("Plateau des Petites Roches" and "Col de Marcieu"), as well as thermal resorts such as Uriage-les-Bains at the foot of Chamrousse, and Allevard-les-Bains, also in the Belledonne.

It runs four tourist information offices: 7 Laux at Prapoutel and Le Pleynet, Collet, Allevard-les-bains on the Belledonne range, and a tourist information office at Plateau des Petites Roches on the Chartreuse balconies.
