Presentation

Chamrousse hosts the French ski mountaineering championships! The program includes 2 races: individual on Saturday at Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin and sprint on Sunday at Chamrousse 1400 - Casserousse.
Come and cheer on France's best ski mountaineers!

Saturday with the individual race and Sunday with the team sprint race:
- Individual: the flagship event in ski-mountaineering, based on the principles of the team race, with a minimum of three ascents and three descents, plus a section where participants have to carry their skis on their packs. The course has an altitude difference of between 1300 and 1500 meters for senior women, and between 1500 and 1900 meters for senior men.
- sprint: a short discipline lasting around 3 to 4 minutes. This physical event brings together all the techniques of ski mountaineering: ascent, portage and descent, with several passages in zones enabling rapid transitions from ascent to descent. This is a "long" relay sprint.
