Level Equivalency Guide for Children and Teens
If your child has earned:
- the Snowflake or First Star, you should enroll them in Class 1
- the Second or Third Star, you should enroll them in Class 2
- the Bronze or Silver Star, you should enroll them in Class 3

Class 2 (Intermediate) - You’ll learn to make your first skids while controlling your speed, and you’ll be able to finish your turns with parallel skis on a gentle slope. To make skiing even more fun, refine your technique and discover new “playgrounds.”

Here are your goals:
  • master parallel turns on moderate and varied slopes,
  • perform basic zigzag turns (short turns using your poles),
  • ski in a straight line down increasingly varied slopes,
  • perform basic skids and figure-eight turns (a series of sideways skids interspersed with straight-line runs),
  • gain familiarity with different types of snow (groomed, icy, deep, wet) and various types of terrain (slopes, bumps, small dips).
