Chamrousse, Grenoble's ski and mountain resort, and the Cairn Sport brand share common values around mountains and summits, and are determined to develop a strong presence in our beautiful Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
The fruit of a French family adventure that began in 1938, Cairn has a long history of expertise in the development of protective equipment.
The Cairn brand was created in the early 90s by a family from Lyon during a trip to Nepal. They discovered that in the high mountains, passion alone was no longer enough to scale the summits: you had to be well equipped with warm, technical gear to be able to advance in extreme conditions! The Cairn brand was born of this experience. Today, it is recognised as a brand that combines versatility, functionality and style. It expanded in the 2000s with the development of a complete range of winter sports accessories: helmets, goggles, back protectors, glasses and textiles. The designers of the Cairn ski helmet are always looking to innovate, and even the brand's 'Over The Glasses' (OTG) goggles have adopted this new magnetic feature.
