You've reached the Snowflake level You can now get ready to earn your First Star. You'll learn how to improve your balance, link turns together, and even do your first skids! Here are your challenges: Make several simple turns while skidding, and of course, pay attention to what's going on around you! (other skiers, the terrain of the slope, etc.). Glide down gentle or moderate slopes while maintaining your balance, ski straight down a gentle slope and take small steps to turn. Schedule: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

You’ve reached or earned the Silver Star level. Discover the ESF Stars Team Now get ready for the Gold Star! Once you’ve earned it, you’ll be able to ski in every style. Before that, you need to improve your times on the mini-giant slalom. Ready for the timed run? Here are your challenges: Complete a timed mini-giant slalom, trying to get as close as possible to the instructor’s time, Perform a series of turns on a moderately steep slope while controlling your speed and line, ski without stopping on fairly steep slopes and on all types of snow, while paying attention to your surroundings: other skiers, the terrain features, etc., be able to handle yourself on a specially designed course: ski cross or half-pipe, perform a jump with a freestyle trick (on a mogul or in a snowpark). Schedule: 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Your new challenge: mastering all types of turns and long turns by synchronizing your movements with the mechanical response of your skis. Here are your goals: perform advanced slalom turns (short turns using your poles), perform advanced rounded skids and zigzag turns (a series of sideways skids interspersed with straight-line descents), master the cut-off turn (using the edges) and the advanced straight-line descent, be generally comfortable with specific turns on all types of snow and terrain. Let’s go!   Here are your challenges: quickly string together turns of varying tightness, changing your pace, on a course with 15 to 20 gates, know how to make zigzag turns (short turns using your poles), while paying attention to what’s happening around you—other skiers, the terrain of the run, etc.—on an easy run. On a slope or a ski cross-style course, maintain your balance while schussing (i.e., skiing straight down facing the slope) and then take off over gentle bumps, and explore different types of snow. Schedule: Christmas and New Year’s Break (December 20, 2026, to January 3, 2027): 2:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Winter Break (February 7, 2027, to March 7, 2027): 2:45 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
