Starting Point: Tourist Office of Chamrousse 1750 - Roche Béranger.
This walk is suitable for small children and will please the whole family.
In a wonderful setting you will come across Lake Achard and its magnificent view of the Taillefer mountain range. Take the time to stop for a while and enjoy the silence, take in the view and discover the many wonders nature has to offer: centuries-old pines, crossbills, houseleeks, cobwebs…

Lake Achard is located in the Natura 2000 area. Making fire, setting a tent, fishing and swimming are striclty forbidden (under penalty). Bivouac is allowed, from sunset to sunrise (except from mid-June to mid-September over-visitation period).
Please, stay on trails to protect fragile areas.

☆ Little extra: "Hiking star" a medal for children in summer too!
Showing us a picture taken during their hike, courageous little walkers will be awarded a diploma with their name + silver star "Achard lake" on sale (2.50€ at the Tourist Offices) to wear proudly on the backpack.
Pets allowed: Dogs on a leash are allowed in the summer on all trails . The shepherd who works in Chamrousse in the summer has no Pyrenean Mountain Dog.

Natural lake of Chamrousse Lake Achard is part of the "Plateau de l'Arselle and Lake Achard" sensitive natural area. It is also located in the Natura 2000 zone. Thus fire, wood gathering, camping, picking, fishing and swimming (even for dogs) are strictly forbidden (under penalty of a fine). Dogs must be kept on a lead. Bivouacking is allowed from sunset to sunrise (except during the summer months when there are too many people). More information
