Departure and arrival: gondola's arrival at 2250m of altitude.
Loop: 45 minutes down and 1h15 back up.

In a moonscape, admire the 360° scenery at the Croix de Chamrousse. Between the Botte pass and Robert lakes, walk to the rhythm of the marmot’s warning calls and discover our rich alpine flora (arnica, aster…)!

Attention: the shepherd of Chamrousse has dogs with his herd (but no patous), for a good cohabitation between mountain people and the work of the shepherd, thank you for respecting some instructions. Do not cross the herd, do not try to pet or feed the dogs or the herd, do not make sudden gestures or throw things that could frighten the dog, do not start running and avoid taking photos from too close...

☆ Little extra: "Hiking star" a medal for children in summer too!
Showing us a picture taken during their hike, courageous little walkers will be awarded a diploma with their name + gold star "Robert lakes" on sale (2.50€ at the Tourist Offices) to wear proudly on the backpack.

Pets allowed: dogs are allowed in the summer on all trails on a leash as well as in the gondola. The shepherd who works in Chamrousse in the summer has no Pyrenean Mountain Dog.

Road access from Grenoble : Rocade Sud > exit n° 2 " Uriage " > Route départementale 111 (RD 111) on the Seiglières side.
Recommended parking: parking Henry Duhamel (P7), avenue Henry Duhamel (200 meters and about 2 minutes walk from the gondola).

Access from Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin via the cable car of La Croix.

Public transportation - stop Chamrousse 1650 - Recoin :
- bus line T87 (to/from Grenoble), stop "Chamrousse 1650".
- seasonal bus lines [summer] : Estibus 707 (to/from Grenoble), stop "CHAMROUSSE LE RECOIN VFD".
